Happy New year!
I want to thank everyone for your support, encouragement and to all that have given me the honor of bringing my artworks into your homes and businesses in 2013.
It has been my most successful year as an artist and that encourages me to grow and create more for 2014. I am very grateful for you all.
I have a number of exhibits this month. Mark Lunning of Open Press is one of the premier printmakers in the country. He is celebrating his 25th anniversary and I am honored to have two of my monotypes included in his special exhibit at the McNichols Civic Center, Denver. Displayed will be what Mark considers as some of the best prints made in his studio by 30 artists. Thank you Mark for including me.
In the next few days I'll be finishing up a six-foot commission for a private collection. This painting has gone through a number of changes, all for the better. I thought it was finished numerous times but the next day revealed there was more to do. Sometimes the oils take you for quite a ride before that final mark.
As I look at the calendar, I'm looking forward to my Making it Fine Art workshops lined up. It is great fun to meet other artists, offer your best and watch the changes taking place. A few weeks ago I gave a private lesson to an artist that flew in from Canada. It was a happy weekend and we both extended ourselves in a very productive way.Grateful notices:Forest VerticalsOil on canvas, 40 x 60 inchesSold / private collection, Massachusetts via:Corporate Portfolio, MI / Total Arts Gallery, Taos, NMCurrently Exhibiting:
